Hand operated blinds
Various systems are available with the option of a 'Standard' spring or 'Slow Rise' operation.
'Slow Rise' is totally user friendly. semi automatic it rises slowly unaided once released. The braking mechanism within the blinds dramatically increases the speed of opening up the cabinets because they are unimpared by human control roll up straight.
Two methods are mainly used to hold the blinds down.
Firstly by means of a magnetic strip on the back of the bottom rail which hermetically seals the cabinet from draughts or spillages. Secondly by the use of a double hook. Other solutions are also available upon consultation.
Most blinds are manufactured as complete readt to install units on fitting rails that just click into snap fit brackets - Job done!
Motorised blinds
A sysytem that outshines any other in the market. Developed to permit alternative configurations by the installer, on site, the 40mm roller designed for strength and rigidity. Accepts the working components by push fit allowing the motor to be switched from one side to the other. This also enables on site repairs without the need of replacing complete blinds. The end bearing is a one piece component with a locking swivel lever that runs on a bed of ball bearings promoting free running of the blind and less torque on the motor.
Further advantages of the system are apparent when multiplexing blinds. The telescopic drive shaft in the end plug facilitates easy alignment and if required, removal of a blind in an installed run. Gaps between blinds can be reduced to as little as 15mm.
A: Bottom Rail
A robust rectangular iodised aluminium extrusion into which a solid aluminium bar is inserted to add weight and aid the free fall of the blind.
B: Foil
A highly reflective aluminium based material with a very low emissivity value that is also available in perforated form to compensate against sweating at times or areas of higher humidity.
C: Motor
We use a 40mm Somfy motor LS40 Aries: Torque 4Nm, speed 14 r.p.m. Guaranteed for 5 years.
Cassettes
An aesthetically pleasing one piece aluminium extrusion available in white or cream finish.
Predominantly used to house night blinds on well freezer cabinets. The night blinds are manufactured to the same high specification as the hand blinds and the aluminium based low emissivity foil is perforated to avoid freezing up.
When installed by clicking the cassette over two injection moulded brackets, it blends harmoniously with the cabinet. When fitted back to back it still appears as a one piece extrusion.
Roller blinds for security
Increased demand for blinds depict an area or cabinet is closed has led to us to develop variations of our systems that make them semi-secure.
These blinds can be hand or motorised in operation and usually run down within side channels designed specifically for individual situations.
A claw lock located in the bottom rail allows the blind to be secured down.
Roller blinds with graphics
Whether the requirement is for a simple message, logo or full colour pictorials, we now produce many blinds for companies with this criteria.
Used to inform customers that certain areas are now closed, such as the alcohol outside licensing hours, or the end of a line is finished for the day, the message is readily portrayed with graphics. This method of advertising can be applied to all our systems.
Security Roller shutters
Total security against intrusion. We produce a roller shutter that blends harmoniously within the store environment be it on a refrigerated display cabinet or enclosing dry shelving products.
Manufactured using a lightweight aluminium lath that is foam filled giving maximum energy savings on refrigerated display cabinets, they run down aluminium side guides and are secured normally with side shoot bolts. They can be manual or electrically operated.

Banana hammocks and fabric display aids
Therma Screens offer a bespoke service producing display items from a variety of fabrics and colours to customers own specification and design. We also work in conjunction with clients to offer the best solution to a particular project. Banana hammocks were developed working closely with shelving manufacturers.
Now used by a large number of food and fresh produce retailers, the mesh hammocks are suspended on a metal framework.
the life of the banana is extended and bruising is prevented. This together with the improved presentation increases profit margins on this delicate fruit.
